The standard behind the certificate

GJSDB sets the syllabus, the examination and the grading used by affiliated Soroban centres, and issues the certificate a student receives at the end. Every certificate carries a permanent code that can be checked on this site.

What the board does

Four responsibilities, and the certificate rests on all four.

01

Curriculum standard

One syllabus for every affiliated centre, so that a student in one city is measured exactly as a student in another.

02

Examination and grading

The board defines the paper, the time limits and the pass mark. A centre teaches; the board examines.

03

Certification and verification

Every certificate is issued against a permanent code. Anyone holding the paper can confirm it on this site in seconds.

04

Instructor training

Instructors are trained and assessed before they may present students for examination.
